Things To Do

Atlanta is a bustling city full of history, art, food, nature, sports, and attractions—and our wedding is located around the heart of all that activity. If you are visiting for the first time, you can find many things that interest you, but here are a few of our favorite suggestions.

  • High Museum of Art

See classic, folk, and contemporary art in the largest museum for visual arts in the Southeast.

  • Piedmont Park

Take a stroll through the 200-acre Midtown green space, which is home to the Atlanta Botanical Garden and also shares a design history with New York’s Central Park and Prospect Park.

  • Atlanta History Center

See traditional and interactive exhibitions about the history of Atlanta and other topics. The Center also houses the Cyclorama: the 382-foot long panorama, hand-painted in 1886, depicting the Battle of Atlanta.

  • Oakland Cemetery

You’ll just have missed the Halloween tours, unfortunately! Though it sounds macabre, the historic cemetery is a beautiful green space, home to the graves of many famous Atlantans—it was also next door to Eric’s (and briefly Arianna’s) last home in Atlanta.

  • A Cappella Books

Bookstore for new, used, and rare titles

  • Plaza Theatre & The Majestic

Catch a cult classic at this iconic, independent movie theater. Then, step nextdoor to the Majestic for diner food & people watching.
